  1. Do you have anything specific you’d like to ask from Fairytale Shelf? Here’s your chance to share your opinion!

    • I am NOT interested in “adult” retellings of fairy tales (those with explicit sexual content/descriptions nor do I like super dark or horror versions. I like my stories to end on a happy note.
Is there a way to filter so I don’t get sent R rated material?

  2. Thank you for the freebies. One of my favourite fairy tales is “Peter Pan” eventhough I know the truth behind it. I also enjoy reading other tales as well. I have recently started collecting Lang’s series of Fairy Books.

Thank you for giving us readers an opportunity to have modern and re-imagined versions of the tales.

    • I know there is a site where you can get all of the Lang fairy books for free. I think it’s Project Guttenberg.org. The site is totally legal and free. Amazon also has several of the ebooks for free, as late last week. Hope this helps.

        • It certainly is, and most of the books that were originally “scanned” with OCR software have been cleaned up and no longer drive you crazy

  3. Sorry I only requested freebies! I no longer work due to disability and funds are limited.

    Kind regards

    • I know that a few authors write about Russian fairy tales. Are there any countries in particular you’re interested in?

      • I’d be interested in tales from India, Celtic, Native American, and Maori cultures.
And I love finding variations on a theme from around the world- like the Cinderella story that you can find versions of from all over.
Thank you so much for this site and for the free stories!

  4. Thank you for the free books I downloaded. I have not read a lot of retelling fairy tales so I am excited for some adult fairy tales 🙂

Thank you for the free stories. I am on an extremely limited budget due to medical issues. The reading material helps distract me and it keeps me entertained for many hours on end. I appreciate that more than I can say.
